アークス announced its interim results for the fiscal year ending February 2027. Revenue increased year on year, while profit metrics including operating profit declined. At the earnings briefing, Vice Chairman Furukawa (古川) said the company had held firm in a challenging environment.
アークス’s interim results for the fiscal year ending February 2027 were revenue of ¥318.685 billion, operating profit of ¥7.766 billion, ordinary profit of ¥8.517 billion and net income of ¥5.375 billion. Revenue increased 1.6% year on year, operating profit decreased 2.7%, ordinary profit also decreased 2.7%, and net income decreased 5.9%. The gross margin was 24.9%, down 0.1 percentage points year on year.
At the earnings briefing, Vice Chairman Furukawa Koichi (古川 公一) said, “Although the business environment was challenging, we managed to hold firm.” Customer traffic was 99.4% of the prior-year level, average spend per customer was 102.0%, average price per item was 102.9%, and items purchased per customer were 99.2%. Existing-store revenue fell below the prior-year level in the second quarter, reaching 98.7% in June.
