Honda Motor Co., Ltd. unveiled its first high-end electric-assist mountain bike, the Honda RN0, for the first time worldwide at EICMA 2026 in Milan. It features a carbon monocoque frame and gull-arm suspension.
The Honda RN0 is a high-end e-MTB developed jointly with ROTWILD. It features a lightweight body weighing approximately 24 kg, a proprietary carbon monocoque frame and a gull-arm swingarm. Its highly stable frame design and advanced electric-assist unit deliver high riding performance from trails to long rides.
The frame is available in 3 sizes, S, M and L, with a mullet wheel layout featuring a 29-inch front wheel and a 27.5-inch rear wheel. The fork is a 160 mm-travel FOX 36 FLOAT Factory Kashima, paired with a FOX FLOAT X Factory Kashima rear shock, Schwalbe Albert EVO Trail tires and SHIMANO DEORE XT brakes. The two-tone color options are PEARL MOON ASH GRAY and MAT BALLISTIC BLACK METALLIC.
The bike is equipped with a new-generation SHIMANO drive unit, delivering maximum torque of 100 Nm, maximum output of 750 W and a 720 Wh battery. AUTO ASSIST and AUTO SHIFT automatically adjust the level of assistance and cadence, while the assist carryover function maintains driving force smoothly even when stopped. A 2.2-inch full-color display is integrated into the top tube, and devices can be charged via USB-C. Integration with the SHIMANO app also provides vehicle-setting and locking functions.
