MSI's EZgo portable EV charger, equipped with a 7.5m cable and smartphone connectivity for checking charging status, will go on sale at Komeri stores and online.
The EZgo portable charger was announced as a way to expand the charging environment for EVs and PHVs without construction work. It connects to a 200V EV charging outlet and can be used for charging at home as well as away from home.
Key specifications include 3.2kW charging power, 16A charging current, a 7.5m cable, and a Type 1 (SAE J1772) connector. The unit weighs approximately 4kg and is supplied as a set including a charging gun, power cord, and carrying case. A dedicated storage bag is also available. Compatibility with an MSI smartphone app is another feature.
The unit has IP66 dust and water resistance, IK08 impact resistance, an operating temperature range of -30 to +50°C, and an operating humidity range of 5 to 95% RH. In addition to built-in PSE certification, it has protection functions including leakage and overload protection. Reservations began on 30 September 2026, and sales will be conducted through Komeri Dotcom and Komeri stores nationwide.
EZgo requires a 200V charging environment, and because it uses the Type 1 standard, users must confirm compatibility with their own EV or PHEV in advance.
