Braun, a De'Longhi Japan company, has announced the Braun Air Fryer MultiFry 3 HF3030JBK for the Japanese market, with sales beginning on 5 November. The price is open, and the direct-sale price is listed as ¥17,820. The product is described as pursuing a finish resembling that of traditionally fried food compared with conventional air fryers.
The appliance uses RealAir Technology to circulate ultra-hot air with a high-speed fan and heat food while enveloping it in hot air. It can cook food while draining away oil and is said to reduce fat by up to 90% compared with potatoes cooked in oil. No preheating is required, and the temperature can be set from 80 to 200°C and the time from 1 to 60 minutes.
There are 8 automatic cooking programmes: frozen fries, fries, chicken, meat, fish, vegetables and cake, as well as reheating, which restores chilled prepared foods to a freshly made finish. The basket and inner rack have a non-stick coating and are dishwasher-safe.
In an actual trial, no-fry karaage was cooked at 180°C for 13 minutes, followed by an additional 3 to 5 minutes at 200°C to produce a fried-like texture. The recommended approach is to thoroughly massage in the seasoning for the karaage and apply a thin coating. The overall appliance measures 26.5 × 36.5 × 30 cm, the power cord is 1.3 m long, and power consumption is 1,200 W.
