John Ternus has formally taken office as Apple's CEO, changing from Cook to Ternus. At his first presentation event after taking office, an announcement of a new product next week was previewed, with the possibility of a foldable iPhone attracting attention.
John Ternus has taken office as Apple's chief executive officer (CEO), changing from Tim Cook, who had led the company for many years, to Ternus. Before his appointment, he served as senior vice president of the hardware division.
Ahead of his first presentation event under the new leadership, Ternus disclosed in an internal memo that an important new product would be announced next week. Products still in the conceptual stage, as well as products to be developed together going forward, are reportedly under development. A foldable iPhone is among the most closely watched possibilities, while a major unveiling of an improved version of Siri is also expected. Other candidates include AirPods with built-in cameras, smart glasses and a laptop with a touch display.
Tim Cook expressed his high regard for Ternus and indicated that he intended to entrust him with the company's management, recognizing his ability to create products that change the world.
