The top 5 Japanese AI and semiconductor stocks ranked by expected growth in 3 years have been released, identifying promising stocks based on a growth-rate ranking derived from IFIS Japan’s forecasts three fiscal periods ahead. Fujii Hidetoshi (藤井英敏) is reported to have rated the 4th- and 5th-ranked stocks as attractive investment opportunities.
A 3-year average growth-rate ranking was compiled with the cooperation of IFIS Japan to assess the future prospects of Japanese AI and semiconductor stocks amid the spread of AI. The ranking covered 42 stocks and compared consensus forecasts three fiscal periods ahead, including the fiscal year ending March 2029, with results for the previous fiscal year, listing the leading stocks in order of growth rate.
Kioxia Holdings ranked 1st, with a 3-year average growth rate assessed at more than 144%. However, the share price is below its 25-day moving average, and the view was also expressed that the stock is not yet at a good buying point.
Taiyo Yuden, ranked 2nd, has gained popularity for its multilayer ceramic capacitors for AI servers, but the view was that its share price had risen too far. Its P/E ratio is close to 40x, so it was said not to be undervalued. Seiko Epson, ranked 3rd, is recording earnings growth, but its sales growth outlook is weak. It was pointed out that the presence or absence of sales growth is given particular weight when assessing a growth stock.
