Goodpatch makes Band a subsidiary, strengthening its AI-driven development capabilities and integrating its design expertise. Going forward, it will establish a structure that supports the in-house development of products using AI.
Goodpatch has made Band, which handles software planning, development, operations and consulting, a subsidiary. This will strengthen its implementation capabilities for AI-driven development and enable it to provide companies with the environment and expertise needed to continue developing products using AI.
Against this backdrop, the Information-technology Promotion Agency's DX Trends 2026 shows that the adoption of generative AI by Japanese companies expanded from 22.6% in fiscal 2024 to 44.0% in fiscal 2025, while its impact on sales and profits remained limited at approximately 3.9%. Goodpatch has supported the adoption and advancement of AI use.
In October 2025, Goodpatch brought the AI design tool Layermate into its group, and since July 2026 has provided AI-driven design and development solutions. With Band joining the group, it will strengthen a structure that provides consistent support from building an AI-driven development environment through to in-house development.
By combining the strengths of both companies, Goodpatch will leverage Band's product development capabilities rooted in AI and software development together with Goodpatch's UI/UX design expertise to advance corporate support and service development centered on development using generative AI.
