Nac revised its consolidated first-half net result downward from the previous forecast of a profit to a loss. It now expects a loss for the April-September period, while maintaining its full-year net profit forecast at the previously projected ¥1.7 billion.
After the market close on 5 November, Nac revised its cumulative consolidated first-half net result from a forecast profit to a loss. Revenue for April-September was held unchanged at the previous forecast of ¥27,400 million, while operating profit was expected to be ¥480 million, ordinary profit ¥460 million, and interim net profit attributable to owners of the parent ¥65 million in the red.
The full-year net profit forecast was held unchanged at the previous ¥1.7 billion, so the impact of the interim loss has not yet been reflected in the full-year forecast. The main reasons for the revision are said to include delays in recognizing revenue from the architectural consulting business, soaring prices for construction materials, and deteriorating order conditions at local homebuilders due to higher mortgage rates. Impairment associated with the withdrawal from the Yesmart business also had an impact.
