watchOS 27.2 developer beta 3 has been released, approximately two weeks after beta 2. No new features have been reported at this time, and testing continues on the new Health app features, “Insights” and “Longevity.”
Apple released watchOS 27.2 developer beta 3 on 5 October 2026 U.S. time. The simultaneous releases of iOS 27.2, iPadOS 27.2, macOS Golden Gate 27.2, tvOS 27.2 and visionOS 27.2 also took place on the same day.
Beta 3 was released approximately two weeks after beta 2. Testing of the new Health app continues on both iPhone and Apple Watch, but no new features have been reported in beta 3 at this time.
The new Health app consists of 2 tabs, Insights and Longevity. Insights is designed to read heart, sleep, Readiness, vital-sign and cycle-tracking data on a daily basis, while Longevity reads health trends from long-term data. MacRumors reports that the features are not expected to be included in the official version 27.2 at this time and may be provided separately later this year.
The Readiness score is calculated using data from Series 12 and Ultra 4, and is reportedly viewable on Series 12 and Ultra 4 running the current watchOS 27. Apple Watch reportedly cannot be restored to the previous official release after the beta is installed, and the timing of the official release has not been announced.
