Kawasaki Kisen has revised its ordinary profit forecast for the current fiscal year upward from ¥135.0 billion to ¥190.0 billion. The first-half forecast has also been raised to ¥118.0 billion, with profit growth expected to expand significantly.
After the market close on 23 October 2026, Kawasaki Kisen revised its consolidated ordinary profit forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027 upward by 40.7%, from the previous forecast of ¥135.0 billion to ¥190.0 billion. This is expected to represent a substantial increase from ¥109.1 billion in the previous fiscal year.
At the same time, the company revised its forecast for the April-September period, or first half, upward by 47.5%, from ¥80.0 billion to ¥118.0 billion. This would be a substantial increase from ¥59.6 billion in the same period of the previous year, with the growth rate expected to expand from 34.1% to 97.8%. The main reason for the revision is the expectation that market conditions in the dry bulk business will remain consistently strong.
