Mitsubishi Electric is rolling out Serendie Bootcamp, a hands-on learning environment where employees can try AI in practice and apply it to solving operational challenges and generating new ideas. As of September 2026, the program had more than 2,000 registered community members, more than 700 participants at its results-sharing sessions, and more than 400 PoC applications.
Serendie Bootcamp is a hands-on learning and development environment where employees learn by trying AI in practice. It provides access to AI services from major cloud platforms, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud, as well as hands-on workshops and results-sharing sessions. By sharing knowledge across organizational and specialist boundaries, the program aims to develop the practical capabilities needed to use AI to solve challenges and create new value.
As concrete evidence of efforts to promote AI use in the workplace, the community has more than 2,000 registered members, its largest results-sharing session has attracted more than 700 participants, and cumulative PoC applications have exceeded 400. Mitsubishi Electric has established development and validation environments using AI services from AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and other providers, supporting the full process from the idea stage through development and validation.
Serendie Bootcamp’s practical process consists of STEP1 Learning, STEP2 Development and Validation, STEP3 Sharing results, and STEP4 Application. Through this cycle, the program is advancing not only individual learning but also knowledge sharing across organizations and the application of AI to operations and services.
Going forward, Mitsubishi Electric plans to continue developing the environment in line with advances in technology and services, expand the cycle of learning, development, and sharing, increase the number of AI-capable personnel, and promote collaboration across organizational boundaries.
