A hands-on workshop featuring Seika Town's official public relations character, “Kyomachi Seika,” will be planned and operated. It will be held on Sunday, 22 November, for elementary school students in grades 4–6 who live in Seika Town or Keihanna Science City.
SHIFT will plan and operate an AI talent development workshop conducted by Seika Town, Soraku District, Kyoto Prefecture. The event is scheduled for 22 November 2026, and children will take part in an experience where they teach AI about the area's history, culture and points of interest.
The local information provided by participants will be accumulated as knowledge for AI Kyomachi Seika and reflected in the use of local information through an interactive AI avatar. The accumulated knowledge is expected to be used in an AI concierge service scheduled to begin operation in or after 2027.
The workshop is for elementary school students in grades 4–6 who live in Seika Town or the Keihanna Science City area. In addition to teaching AI about local information, the children will develop and present ideas for future town development based on the theme of Seika Town 100 years from now.
As a private-sector operator developing “AI Kyomachi Seika,” SHIFT aims to provide an interactive AI avatar that makes it easier for residents and tourists to access local information. Details of the event and application information have been announced through the publication of a press release.
