Matsuya Foods announced that Matsunoya, its tonkatsu restaurant chain, will launch the Pork Fried Steak Set Meal with Back-Fat and Ginger Sauce from 15:00 on 30 September 2026. The dish is made by coating aged chilled pork with a crisping mix before frying it, resulting in a moist and tender texture.
The rich sauce is flavoured with the depth of back fat and the aroma of ginger, and is served with mayonnaise to combine a rich taste with a mellow finish. A combo set meal with loin cutlet or authentic karaage is also available, highlighting the generous portions.
The price is ¥1,090 (tax included). The lineup comprises the Ribeye Pork Fried Steak Set Meal with Back-Fat and Ginger Sauce, the Loin Pork Fried Steak Set Meal, and the Karaage Set Meal, for 3 varieties. The price is the same for dine-in and takeaway, while miso soup is available at an additional charge.
