Workman has launched a travel jacket whose collar can be inflated and used as a neck pillow, designed to eliminate a small regret experienced on business trips. The women’s model is priced at ¥2,990 (including tax).
The product was launched as part of the autumn/winter 2026 collection to address the thought, “A neck pillow to support my neck would be useful,” during travel by bullet train or aeroplane, by repurposing the jacket collar as a neck pillow. The collar has a built-in air tube and air valve, and the mechanism allows the wearer to blow air into it by opening the zip at the chest.
After use, the air can be released simply by pressing the air valve. The jacket is designed to retain its shape while providing the neck-pillow function. Protrusions have been kept to a minimum so they are not conspicuous when the function is not in use, with the aim of maintaining the appearance of a regular jacket.
The project began after the developer’s own experience on business trips, with the aim of reducing what travellers need to carry while improving comfort. Balancing practicality and design was a challenge, and reducing the protrusion at the connection between the collar and air tube was cited as one of the more difficult aspects of development.
Priced at ¥2,990 (including tax), the product is offered as the Women’s Neck Pillow Travel Jacket. Its defining feature is the neck-pillow function provided by the inflated collar, with the aim of making travel more comfortable on business trips and long journeys.
