兵機海運 announced its earnings after the market close on 30 October, reporting non-consolidated ordinary profit of ¥280 million for the April-September period, up 10.9% from the same period a year earlier.
The company raised its full-year ordinary profit forecast from the previous ¥540 million to ¥600 million, indicating that the rate of profit growth is expected to increase. Based on first-half results and the second-half plan, the outlook for ordinary profit was also expected to increase to ¥310 million.
Ordinary profit for the latest July-September quarter was ¥190 million, approximately 2.4 times the year-earlier level, while the operating margin on sales improved from 2.6% to 4.1%.
