Sanyo Shokai has decided to relocate and construct its own Sanyo Sewing Aomori Factory in Towada City. Operations at the new factory are scheduled to begin in the first half of fiscal 2028, with construction scheduled to begin in 2027 or later. The relocation will be carried out as part of the company's growth investment.
The existing factory is located in Shichinohe, Aomori Prefecture, and has accumulated technology and expertise over 57 years as a production base specializing in coats. The new factory is planned to have a site area of 11,411 m², exceeding the 10,137 m² area of the existing factory. The reasons for the relocation include addressing the aging of the existing facility, improving employee safety and comfort, and ensuring the succession of technology and securing personnel for the future.
The new factory will strengthen an integrated production system incorporating R&D functions responsible for product development and testing, while also responding to demand through measures such as bringing down-coat production in-house. Sanyo Shokai will continue to strengthen high-quality manufacturing centered on its own factories in Japan.
