三陽商会 announced that it will relocate and newly build its own “サンヨーソーイング Aomori Factory” in Towada City. Operations at the new factory are expected to begin in the first half of fiscal 2028, and the project will be carried out as part of growth investment.
The Aomori Factory was established in Mito, Ibaraki Prefecture, in 1969 as “サンヨーソーイング” and began operations in Shichinohe Town, Kamikita District, Aomori Prefecture, in 1975. For 57 years, it has been responsible for the sewing and finishing of coats and has served as 三陽商会’s domestic production base and a site for technical validation.
Through the relocation and construction of the new facility, the company plans to improve the factory’s product development capabilities and production efficiency, as well as improve the working environment and strengthen its ability to secure and develop talent.
三陽商会 has positioned growth investment as part of the progress of its medium-term management plan, and the factory reorganization will be carried out as part of that investment.
