CTC and IBM Japan announced a collaboration on A-Native, which supports AI-driven application development and the modernization of existing systems. CTC has begun offering the service and will use IBM Bob for its core development support. They also disclosed a configuration to support the analysis of existing systems and phased migration to the cloud.
CTC and IBM Japan announced that they will collaborate on A-Native, a service supporting the development of new applications using AI and the modernization of existing systems, with CTC beginning to offer the service. A-Native supports the streamlining of development processes from requirements definition through design, program development and testing, as well as the analysis of existing systems, identification of the scope of modifications, and phased migration to and modernization in the cloud.
The lineup consists of 3 services: A-Native Develop, A-Native Modernize and A-Native Agent. Develop uses AI to streamline development work, Modernize supports the analysis and modernization of existing systems, and Agent develops and provides AI agents for internal use.
A-Native Develop uses IBM Bob, IBM Japan's AI-driven development tool. In addition to providing AI support throughout the development process, from requirements definition through design, implementation and testing, it addresses governance, security and operational management requirements such as audit-log management and work approvals, enabling development to proceed while maintaining controls over AI use.
CTC said it would leverage the technical capabilities it has developed through large-scale systems development and cloud infrastructure construction to provide hands-on support for development work, including requirements definition and the preparation of design documents, based on knowledge gained through technical validation with IBM Japan. Prices start at ¥5 million, excluding tax, and CTC aims to have 50 companies adopt the service within 3 years.
