Socionext is expanding AI-driven design to the physical design of large-scale 3nm SoCs using agentic AI. It is collaborating with Cadence and applying InnoStack AI Super Agent to improve design efficiency and quality.
Socionext is advancing the use of AI agents to enhance SoC design and development, and has indicated that, following front-end design, it plans to apply AI-driven design to the physical design of large-scale 3nm SoCs. It is pursuing collaboration with Cadence to strengthen integration between AI and EDA tools. The aim is to use AI agents across the design process to improve productivity and design quality as a paradigm shift.
The current application targets large-scale 3nm projects and will use Cadence's InnoStack AI Super Agent. Linking AI agents with the design flow is also expected to enable future automation of tasks such as floorplanning and timing-analysis checks.
