Toyota unveiled 5 prototype vehicles in North America, including the new RAV4 Woodland Plug-in Hybrid. CALTY Design Research presented a shared identity emphasizing an adventure-oriented character through features such as a raised suspension and two-tone paint.
On 30 October, Toyota’s North American subsidiary unveiled the Woodland concept family for the 2026 SEMA Show. The lineup consists of 5 prototypes based on the RAV4, Grand Highlander, Sienna, bZ and Crown Signia.
CALTY Design Research established a cohesive design identity for the Woodland concepts, balancing everyday practicality with a spirit of exploration. Common equipment includes lift kits, large overfenders, satin-black wheels, all-terrain tires, roof racks and crossbars.
“Horizon Blue,” a body color derived from colors used on Toyota models in the 1960s, has been adopted across the lineup. Combined with two-tone paint on the roof and hood, it visually emphasizes the vehicles’ adventure-oriented character.
The RAV4 Woodland Plug-in Hybrid Concept is positioned as a representative model demonstrating how an electrified family vehicle can take on a more adventurous role.
The announcement was covered in an article by GQ JAPAN, and interest may focus on the release of official information and further details of the production vehicles.
