The new rates will increase by approximately 20% from the FY2024 rates, depending on distance and weight. The current holiday delivery surcharge is ¥200 per package, but it will be raised to ¥250 for pickups and deliveries from the 23rd.
The company cited compliance with limits on truck drivers’ overtime work and rising vehicle maintenance costs as reasons for the increases.
