The 35-player domestic tour field for the jointly hosted TOTO Japan Classic has been finalized. Hiruta Minami (蛭田みな美) and Sato Miyu (佐藤心結) squeezed into the field, while the Golden Generation, including Amamoto Haruka (天本ハルカ), missed out.
The top 35 players in the field after the Fujitsu Ladies earned entry as the domestic tour qualifiers, excluding LPGA Tour players. The entry slots are awarded to the top 35 players in the Mercedes Rankings at this tournament, but Yamashita Miyu (山下美夢有) and Furue Ayaka (古江彩佳) are excluded, so players through 37th secured entry.
Sato Miyu (佐藤心結) tied for 13th at 6 under par in this tournament and added 48 points, ranking 37th with 529.25 points in total and taking the final entry slot. Amamoto Haruka (天本ハルカ), meanwhile, missed the cut and fell to 38th. The gap between her and Sato was 27.14 points, and she missed out on entry.
Fukuda Mei (福田萌維), who was 38th the previous week, added 6.30 points after tying for 42nd, but remained 40th with 492.37 points in total. Hiruta Minami (蛭田みな美) tied for 3rd in this tournament and earned 103.12 points, moving up to 32nd with 595.61 points in total and securing entry. Sai Peiying rose to 33rd after adding the points for 10th place, up from 34th the previous week.
Of the 35 players who earned entry, Yoshizawa Yuzuki (吉澤柚月), Yoshida Rin (吉田鈴), Fujimoto Aina (藤本愛菜), Kurabayashi Kurenai (倉林紅), Masada Yuno (政田夢乃), Miyazawa Misaki (宮澤美咲) and Nakazone Sumika (仲宗根澄香) will be making their first appearance. If any players withdraw, entry slots may subsequently move down to lower-ranked players.
