INES will begin selling its AI-agent support service for local governments in April 2027. With implementation of an AI agent in WebRings and the use of AI in welfare services as its core offerings, the company aims to improve the quality of resident services and enhance operational efficiency.
INES announced that it will begin selling its AI-agent support service for local governments in April 2027. The service consists of 2 core offerings: a WebRings AI-embedded solution that navigates core administrative operations, and an AI review solution that supports welfare-related assessments. The company aims to improve the efficiency of local government operations based on collaboration between AI and people.
The background is the need to respond to expanding welfare needs as Japan’s ultra-low-birthrate, super-aging society progresses, despite a decline in the number of local government employees. The company recognizes the need to respond without reducing the quality of resident services.
The 2 core offerings are described as follows: the WebRings AI-embedded solution autonomously supports the processing of administrative procedures and guides users to the most appropriate procedure based on information obtained at service counters; the welfare-sector AI review solution conducts preliminary reviews using AI. Human-in-the-loop processes will be applied throughout, with final decisions made by local government employees.
Going forward, the company plans to build a system capable of handling the full process from application receipt through review, status management and system entry by providing dedicated AI solutions that complement standalone AI agents and BPR support.
