Mizuno Corporation unveiled its new MIZUNO NEO IMPACT golf shoe series in Tokyo. The launch event was attended by sponsored professional Teraoka Sayaka (寺岡 沙弥香), former baseball player Uchikawa Seiichi (内川 聖一), and former Japan women’s national volleyball team player Sakoda Saori (迫田 さおり), who discussed the product’s features and feel.
The model is a golf shoe developed by combining technologies from baseball, running and volleyball. The outsole design is based on the Data Shower Sole concept. Development also incorporated technology from the SPEED REVO baseball cleat, with the arrangement and shape of the metal spikes designed to evoke the way a pitcher’s ball speed increases.
The midsole uses Mizuno’s high-rebound MIZUNO ENERZY material. Sakoda Saori (迫田 さおり) praised its light weight and moderate rebound, saying it transmitted energy from the ground effectively. Teraoka Sayaka (寺岡 沙弥香) cited increased distance during testing and its high grip, explaining that it improved swing stability.
The shoes will go on sale on 18 September through Mizuno golf retailers and company-operated stores nationwide. Sizes range from 22.5 to 29 cm, and weight is approximately 360 g per shoe in size 26.0 cm. The official online store price is ¥21,450. Inquiries should be directed to the Mizuno Customer Service Center.
