Rokid has announced “Rokid Glasses 2” in China. The price starts at ¥3,699, and the glasses are scheduled to go on sale on 11 November. Sales in Japan have not been officially announced, although the first-generation model is reportedly already available domestically.
The new model is AI glasses with a display and a 12MP camera capable of 4K recording. The display uses a monochrome green presentation and a waveguide-based microLED display, with a resolution of 480×380, a field of view of approximately 25 degrees and brightness of 1,500 nits. The specifications indicate improvements over the first generation.
For purchases in Japan, buyers are advised to wait for an official domestic announcement. Those importing the Chinese version personally should check whether it carries a technical conformity mark. Prescription lenses must be prepared separately, and the availability of Japanese-language AI functions should be confirmed.
Domestic alternatives include the first-generation “Rokid Smart AI Glasses” and “Rokid Max 2.” The first-generation model is already available at ¥109,990, while Max 2 is described as display glasses intended for viewing video content.
