Meiji Yasuda Life Insurance's Yamaguchi Branch and IBJ are collaborating to hold a matchmaking event with J.League club Renofa Yamaguchi FC on 3 November. The event will be limited to 60 participants and aims to facilitate natural encounters centered on watching a match.
IBJ, operator of IBJ Matching, is collaborating with Meiji Yasuda Life Insurance's Yamaguchi Branch to hold an event at Ishin Mirai F Stadium on 3 November 2026 (Tuesday, public holiday). The event combines watching a Renofa Yamaguchi FC match with group discussions, aiming to provide an opportunity for participants to interact naturally.
The participation fee is ¥4,000 for men and ¥3,000 for women, including tax and the match ticket. It is open to single men and women aged 25–39, with up to 60 participants of each gender. After group discussions and mini-games at the private venue, participants will select their preferred matches by smartphone vote, followed by an opportunity for the matched pairs to talk later.
The event is being held against a backdrop of growing interest in experience-based encounters, with the aim of lowering the psychological barrier to marriage-oriented matchmaking through the shared experience of watching a sporting event. It also aims to support the creation of opportunities for young people in Yamaguchi City to meet.
