Hyakujushi Bank announced that it will launch financial product intermediary services in partnership with Nomura Securities on 7 December. It will establish sales offices specializing in customer assets in Takamatsu and Marugame, Kagawa Prefecture, under the name “Asset Consulting Plaza,” to enhance customer support for asset management.
At the new offices, secondees from Nomura and employees of Hyakujushi Bank will share their respective expertise and strengthen the bank's asset management consulting capabilities. Nomura's Takamatsu Branch is scheduled to cease operations on 4 December.
Hyakujushi Bank and Nomura reached a basic agreement on a comprehensive business partnership in March 2025 and signed a definitive agreement in December of the same year. In October 2026, the banks strengthened their organizational structure by abolishing the Retail Promotion Department and establishing the Asset Consulting Department as part of an organizational restructuring.
