資さんうどん announced that its presidency will change to Ito Hideki (伊藤英記), effective 1 November. As the company expands nationwide, the focus is expected to be on building an organization that draws on frontline experience and systems that support consistent taste.
資さん, which operates 資さんうどん, announced that its presidency will change to Ito Hideki (伊藤英記), effective 1 November. Ito has experience as a deputy store manager and head of the Product Headquarters, among other roles, suggesting that the change places frontline experience in demand at the top of management.
The change in president is said to be part of personnel changes within the Skylark Holdings group, and no direct connection with criticism concerning taste has been indicated. At the same time, for 資さん as it expands from Kitakyushu across the country, the difficulty of reproducing the same taste nationwide has once again emerged as a challenge.
資さん came under a fund's ownership in 2018 and advanced the standardization of store operations and investment in factories. It expanded into Osaka in 2023 and came under Skylark Holdings in 2024. Efforts to address differences in water quality and cooking environments and to maintain a consistent dashi flavor will be important.
Supplementary commentary suggests that the new president's frontline experience could contribute to stabilizing taste and advancing nationwide expansion, while noting that strengthening systems for frontline training, logistics, and quality control will be essential. One view is that the perspective of the Skylark Holdings group, which has experience in nationwide expansion, will be key to building the organization.
