日本製紙 will integrate 3 group logistics subsidiaries and establish a new company, 「日本製紙グループロジ」, effective 1 July 2027. Following the integration, it aims to improve operating efficiency and capital efficiency by leveraging its nationwide logistics network.
On 28 October 2026, 日本製紙 announced that it would integrate its 3 major group logistics subsidiaries, 日本製紙物流, 南光運輸 and 旭新運輸, and establish 日本製紙グループロジ effective 1 July 2027.
The purpose of the integration is to consolidate logistics resources, technology and expertise, review the allocation of organisations and assets, and improve operating efficiency and profitability across the group.
The newly established 日本製紙グループロジ is scheduled to integrate 南光運輸 and 旭新運輸 through an absorption-type merger in which 日本製紙物流 will remain the surviving company, and formally change its corporate name on 1 July 2027. It aims to strengthen its overall capabilities in the logistics industry by leveraging its nationwide logistics network.
Going forward, the company plans to build a more competitive logistics structure, including business alliances with other companies, while aligning its efforts with the initiatives under the Medium-Term Management Plan 2030.
