Exotec Nihon and Mujin Japan have announced a business alliance. By combining Skypod with palletizing technology, the companies will provide an end-to-end logistics solution from receiving through shipping.
Exotec Nihon, headquartered in France, and Japan-based Mujin Japan have formally announced a business collaboration. Through the alliance, the companies will combine Exotec's automated warehouse system, Skypod, with Mujin's palletizing technology to establish a framework that provides integrated support across the logistics process, from receiving and storage through picking, transport and shipping.
At logistics sites, multiple automation systems are often deployed separately, and the lack of sufficient integration among them has been identified as a challenge. The alliance is intended to strengthen connectivity between systems and enhance the benefits of automation at operating sites.
Going forward, the companies are expected to pursue solutions covering the process from receiving to shipping, centered on the integration of Skypod's storage and transport functions with Mujin's palletizing technology.
