TikTok Japan has been announced as a new supporting partner of the Japan Online Fraud Prevention Alliance (JASA), which the Trust & Safety Association is preparing to establish. JASA is a neutral, nonprofit platform promoting cross-industry efforts to combat online fraud, and will advance initiatives that transcend the boundaries of individual companies and industries.
Threats such as online fraud, impersonation advertisements, and social media-based investment and romance scams are spreading across borders, making it essential for the industry as a whole to share knowledge and work together. JASA has indicated that it will continue developing a global fraud-prevention database and collaborating with other organizations.
As part of its future activities, JASA is scheduled to hold the kickoff ceremony for the Fraud Prevention Conference Japan 2026 at Google LLC's Shibuya office on 26 August 2026. TikTok Japan is scheduled to participate as a speaker representing a supporting partner. This is expected to promote the sharing of threat trends and the exchange of knowledge across industries.
The Trust & Safety Association was established to ensure the safety of digital platforms and online services, and is pursuing initiatives including user protection, risk detection and management, and policy development.
