The Tohoku Association held a seminar on 6 October at a hotel in Sendai on cooperation between financial institutions and tax accountants, centred on business viability assessments. Approximately 45 representatives from 17 financial institutions in the Tohoku region and 135 tax accountants who are TKC members, including online participants, attended the event.
The seminar was held to strengthen cooperation between financial institutions and tax accountants, as well as to promote awareness and use of the tax return attachment system, which is designed to improve the accuracy of tax return information prepared by tax accountants. Uematsu (植松), chair of the TKC Tohoku Association's promotion committee, expressed the view that both sides should work together to promote wider adoption of the system.
Professor Nobuyoshi Yamori (家森 信善) of Kobe University delivered the keynote address. He said that, when supporting small and medium-sized enterprises under Japan's growth strategy, it was important for companies and financial institutions to share accurate accounting information. He also noted that cooperation with professionals such as tax accountants was essential for providing high-quality support to businesses.
