Apple announced that it will hold the new product launch event “Pro and tell.” in Los Angeles on 28 October 2026 local time. The company said that the venue and whether the event will be livestreamed have not yet been decided.
The new MacBook Pro is expected to be the event’s main attraction. It is expected to feature an OLED display, touch support for screen interaction, and a substantial reduction in weight. The chip is expected to be either the equivalent of the current generation or the M5 Pro/M5 Max.
The new iMac and entry-level MacBook Pro are also expected to be updated to the M6 generation. No design changes are expected, with the focus likely to be on performance improvements under the hood.
A refresh of the OLED iPad mini is also being discussed as part of the transition to OLED displays. Reports indicate improvements not only to the display, but also to the speakers and water resistance.
