The Yamanashi Chuo Bank introduced Mico Engage AI to design customer touchpoints centered on its LINE Official Account. Within one year, card loan applications increased by approximately 10% on a net basis, while the number of LINE followers also grew by approximately 1.3 times.
The Yamanashi Chuo Bank reviewed the design of its customer touchpoints centered on its LINE Official Account and introduced Mico Engage AI, Mico's LINE marketing tool. One year after implementation, efforts to strengthen touchpoints through non-face-to-face channels are progressing.
As a result of the implementation, total application results, primarily for card loans, reportedly increased by approximately 10% on a net basis. The number of followers of the LINE Official Account also increased from approximately 8,000 before implementation to approximately 11,000, or about 1.3 times the previous level. The approval rate has also remained approximately 10 percentage points above the overall average.
The expansion of digital touchpoints and stronger personalized messaging are cited as the background to these results. The bank has indicated a policy of strengthening touchpoints through non-face-to-face channels by promoting the use of LINE as a daily-life infrastructure.
Going forward, the bank is considering extending these initiatives to areas beyond lending, including deposit account opening and asset management, while serving local customers through both digital and in-person channels.
