TWOSTONE&SONS, Inc. revised its forecast for consolidated ordinary profit for the previous fiscal year down from the previous forecast of ¥1.32 billion to ¥840 million. The profit growth rate is expected to narrow from 63.7% to 5.0%.
TWOSTONE&SONS, Inc. announced a revision to its full-year earnings forecast for the previous fiscal year after the market closed on 6 October. It revised its forecast for consolidated ordinary profit for the fiscal year ending August 2026 down from the previous forecast of ¥1.32 billion to ¥840 million, with the profit growth rate also expected to narrow from 63.7% to 5.0%.
Based on the revised full-year plan announced by the company, consolidated ordinary profit for the March–August period (second half) is also expected to be reduced by 65.3%, from the previous forecast of ¥720 million to ¥250 million. The profit growth rate is calculated to narrow from 145% to 50%.
The company cited persistently strong demand for IT engineers amid increased digital investment, as well as delays in strengthening proposal capabilities and refining project matching in its Midworks business, as reasons for the downward revision. These developments have created a need to strengthen sales functions and improve project management.
The number of registered engineers has increased to 71,258, exceeding the initial estimate of 68,000, and the number of active engineers is also tracking above expectations. However, following the downward revisions to sales and operating profit, the company is reviewing its medium- to long-term growth strategy.
