Mito Securities revised its previously undisclosed first-half earnings outlook, raising ordinary profit to ¥2.93 billion, approximately 2.2 times the year-earlier figure. Revenue for the new interim period is expected to be approximately ¥9.798 billion, driven mainly by higher equity-related revenue and fund wrap fees.
Mito Securities revised and published its first-half earnings outlook at midday on 20 October. It revised its previously undisclosed full-year outlook and now expects ordinary profit to be ¥2.93 billion, or 2.2 times the year-earlier figure.
The key figures for the new interim period are revenue of approximately ¥9.798 billion, operating profit of approximately ¥2.651 billion, ordinary profit of approximately ¥2.936 billion and net profit of approximately ¥1.923 billion. The revised dividend is ¥20 per share. Ordinary profit was 2.2 times the year-earlier figure, while operating profit increased year on year.
The main reasons for the revision were higher equity-related revenue and fund wrap fees, which the company said led to increases in ordinary profit and net profit.
