Construction company 矢作建設工業 is using Backlog to visualize project management progress. The Digital Promotion Group took the lead in launching operations, establishing a learning-oriented approach that includes turning completion of the manual into a task.
Nulab has published a case study on Backlog at 矢作建設工業. The Digital Promotion Group took the lead in migrating internal work requests and progress management to Backlog, making the status of entire projects visible. For each project, the company is implementing a three-level structure of parent issues, stages and tasks, clarifying the person responsible and the deadline and making it easier to identify remaining work.
Key initiatives include creating a dedicated onboarding project in which completing the manual is turned into a task to learn how to use Backlog, shifting requests made through chat to Backlog tasks so they can be filtered by person responsible and deadline, and informing external partners of the usage rules and establishing an agreement process. Through these measures, the company is seeking to embed Backlog use within the Digital Promotion Group, with expansion to other departments also under consideration.
Going forward, the company plans to roll out the system to staff departments that handle a high volume of task-related exchanges, expanding throughout the organization the cycle of requests, responses and confirmations conducted through Backlog.
