Haier and AQUA held a joint press conference and showcased new products featuring Yuzuru Hanyu (羽生結弦). The event highlighted their high-end strategy in the Japanese market, the use of common technology, and the key selling points of each brand.
On 29 September 2026, Haier and AQUA held a joint press conference, where Yuzuru Hanyu (羽生結弦) gave a performance on the ice. New refrigerators and washing machines were introduced at the same time as the performance, bringing the roles of the brands within the group and its strategy for the Japanese market into sharper focus.
At the event, Haier explained that it would introduce its first high-end series in the Japanese market, “A.M.U.” AQUA presented its focus on ease of use and time efficiency in everyday life. The differences between the two brands were outlined in terms of purchase motivations and design policies.
A common platform centered on a bottom cooling system was presented as the core common technology. While the brands shared a design philosophy aimed at improving storage capacity and ease of use, their approaches to everyday living were differentiated by brand. The two directions represented by Tsukiyo and KURA were portrayed as differences in presentation.
For washing machines, Kanade adopted a DUO drum structure and proposed a new mechanism that processes washing and drying in parallel. Features designed to reduce extra household tasks, such as the Oxy Wash course, were also introduced, with the rollout from autumn onward and a summer 2027 launch indicated. The special-edition BRONZE GOLD initiative was also covered.
