京葉瓦斯 revised its full-year ordinary profit forecast down from the previous ¥4.0 billion to ¥3.8 billion. Although cumulative nine-month ordinary profit came to ¥5.84 billion, the full-year loss is expected to widen.
京葉瓦斯 released its earnings after the afternoon session on 30 October, confirming consolidated ordinary profit of ¥5.84 billion for the cumulative third quarter of the fiscal year ended December 2023 (January–September), up 17.9% year on year.
However, it revised its full-year ordinary profit forecast down 5.0% from the previous ¥4.0 billion to ¥3.8 billion, citing an expected widening of the loss. The forecast loss for July–December was revised to ¥2.46 billion, indicating a wider loss than the ¥41 million loss recorded in the same period of the previous year.
The loss for the most recent three months, the third quarter, was ¥420 million, and the operating margin deteriorated from -1.0% in the same period of the previous year to -2.1%. The current fiscal year’s earnings forecast was revised, affecting the outlook for the second half.
