TOTO will build a new production facility on the site of its plant in Buzen, Fukuoka Prefecture, for mass production of next-generation ceramic components for semiconductor equipment. The investment will total approximately ¥60 billion, with production scheduled to start in the first half of fiscal 2029.
TOTO will build a new 3-story steel-framed production facility with a total floor area of 36,000 m² on the site of TOTO Fine Ceramics Buzen Plant in Buzen, Fukuoka Prefecture. The investment will total approximately ¥60 billion. Production is targeted to start in the first half of fiscal 2029.
The new production building will be the largest in the company's ceramics business and is scheduled to mass-produce next-generation electrostatic chucks and AD components. AD components use a technology that forms a high-density film by bombarding a substrate with fine ceramic particles.
On the same day, TOTO will invest approximately ¥11 billion in TOTO Sanitechno Nakatsu Plant and TOTO Fine Ceramics Nakatsu Plant in Nakatsu, Oita Prefecture, to produce next-generation AD components, targeting the start of production by the end of fiscal 2028.
