Yahagi Construction Co., Ltd. revised its forecast for consolidated ordinary profit for the cumulative second-quarter period of the fiscal year ending March 2027 (April–September) from the previous ¥2.33 billion to ¥3.5 billion. As a result, the outlook for ordinary profit, which had been expected to decline significantly year on year, is now expected to improve substantially following the revision.
Under the revised figures for the new period, ordinary profit after the upward revision is ¥3.5 billion, while the full-year ordinary profit forecast remains unchanged at the previous forecast of ¥9.38 billion. Ordinary profit was ¥13.6 billion in the previous fiscal year.
According to the company, the factors behind the upside in ordinary profit included progress in improving the profitability of construction work on hand as expected, as well as earlier-than-expected improvements in the profitability of some projects scheduled for the second half, which became evident by the interim period.
