At Saudi Arabia's LEAP 2026, Asilla spoke on a panel co-hosted by Japan's Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, sharing insights from the implementation of AI-based security solutions in Japan. The company also discussed collaboration with local businesses and its plans for future expansion.
Asilla, Inc. spoke on 2 September at the “Japan's Blueprint for Saudi Arabia's AI Future” session at LEAP 2026, a technology event hosted by the Saudi Arabian government. The session was held on the World Tech Stage and jointly hosted by the LEAP Secretariat and Japan's Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications. Asilla's speaker was Nakao (中尾), Head of Overseas Business Development, and the joint speakers included a number of Japanese companies.
The presentation introduced examples of the real-world implementation of behavior-recognition AI, including the domestic rollout and on-site applications of AI Security asilla. The system, which began sales in 2022, is operating at approximately 250 sites, including commercial facilities, public transportation networks and office buildings, against a backdrop of labor shortages in the security industry. The company also explained the development status of next-generation technologies, including VLMs that combine video and language.
LEAP 2026 featured sessions across 20 fields, including AI, cloud computing, cybersecurity and smart cities, held over 4 days. DeepFest, an AI-focused event, was also held during the same period. During the event, Asilla exhibited AI Security asilla at its booth in the venue (H1A.P357) and engaged with government officials, local companies and investors.
Asilla stated that it plans to advance business development in the Middle East based on local needs and responses, and will continue efforts to apply the know-how it has developed through real-world implementation in Japan to Saudi Arabia's digital transformation.
