Japan’s Oji Holdings has broken ground on a paper aseptic container plant in Long Thanh, Dong Nai Province, Vietnam. The investment is USD 110 million, operations are scheduled to begin in 2028, and annual production is expected to reach up to 8 billion units.
Oji Holdings Corporation held a groundbreaking ceremony for a new plant producing paper containers for aseptic filling at the Long Thanh Hi-Tech Park in southern Vietnam. The investment is USD 110 million, with operations targeted to begin in 2028.
The plant will occupy approximately 57,000 square meters and will be built as part of the Oji Liquid Pak (OLP) project, the company’s brand for its liquid food packaging business. Production capacity is expected to reach up to 8 billion units annually.
The Oji Group positioned Vietnam as a strategic production base in Southeast Asia and indicated that it would strengthen its ability to supply packaging materials to customers across the Asia-Pacific region through its local operations.
The new plant is expected to expand the supply chain serving demand in Southeast Asia, in coordination with the Oji Group’s longstanding business areas of forest resources, paper and packaging.
