「The Accounting Standard for Revenue Recognition (ASBJ Statement No. 29, 31 March 2020, hereinafter the "Revenue Recognition Accounting Standard") and other standards have been applied from the beginning of the first quarter of the current consolidated fiscal year. Revenue is recognized at the amount expected to be received in exchange for the promised goods or services when control of those goods or services is transferred to the customer. Accordingly, when recognizing revenue from goods or services, the Group recognizes the transaction as a principal transaction if it determines that it controls the goods or services before providing them to the customer, and as an agent transaction if it does not make that determination.」

The Revenue Recognition Accounting Standard was applied from the first quarter of fiscal 2021, and the method of recognizing only the commission-equivalent portion as revenue was adopted for revenue from contract-operated cafeterias and management services, among others, treated as agent transactions. As a result, net sales for the quarter decreased by ¥254 million.
