「The group’s materiality consists of 8 items: 6 materiality areas based on “maintaining and strengthening the foundations for value creation” and 2 materiality areas that realize “the creation of corporate and social value” through them. KPIs have been set for each identified materiality area, and the group aims to enhance corporate value by integrating sustainability promotion with management, with each responsible organization implementing initiatives under the supervision of the Board of Directors.」
The previous 3 materiality areas were reorganized into 8: 2 concerning the creation of corporate and social value and 6 concerning the maintenance and strengthening of the foundations. This created a management framework incorporating KPIs, responsible organizations and Board of Directors oversight. - FY2024AdvancedAnnual report
「Under the committee, the group has established permanent cross-group subcommittees that formulate strategies and consider and monitor measures to achieve target KPIs for key themes related to materiality; a Sustainability Liaison Committee that shares the Sustainability Committee’s discussions and decisions across the group; and a New Initiatives Committee that considers themes requiring a new response based on analysis of sustainability-related risks and opportunities.」
An operating structure has been established that goes beyond reaffirming the 3 materiality areas to include cross-group subcommittees, KPI progress monitoring, risk and opportunity analysis, and reporting to the Board of Directors. - FY2022ReframedAnnual report
