The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.Revenue decreased despite increased utilization of an LPG carrier acquired in the previous period and revised charter rates, due to lower revenue from a vessel that remains in port because it has not received clearance to depart from the Mexican authorities, as well as downtime resulting from the long-term scheduled maintenance of one VLCC. Operating profit decreased due to higher scheduled maintenance costs, while ordinary profit decreased due to higher interest expenses. Interim net income reflected the recognition of extraordinary income, including a gain on the sale of one bulk carrier and insurance settlement gains, while a loss related to the vessel's inability to depart was recognized as an extraordinary loss. Details of the reasons for revising the full-year earnings forecast are provided in separately published materials referenced in this earnings report.
