「To address accelerating environmental challenges, realize a decarbonized, circular society and promote the development of livable cities, we formulated the “Environmental Vision 2030” in 2022, establishing environmental targets and specific actions. In 2025, as progress was outpacing the initial targets, we updated those targets as the “Environmental Vision 2040” to accelerate our efforts further.」
The Company updated its Environmental Vision from 2030 to 2040 and organized targets for 2030, 2035 and 2040, together with a target of net zero by 2050. - FY2026RaisedAnnual report
「In September 2025, we revised the plan as “Environmental Vision 2040” and updated its targets. We aim to reduce the Group’s GHG emissions (Scopes 1 and 2) by 55% by fiscal 2030, 60% by fiscal 2035 and 73% by fiscal 2040 from fiscal 2019, and achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. We also aim to raise the renewable energy ratio to at least 60% by fiscal 2030, at least 70% by fiscal 2035 and at least 80% by fiscal 2040, and achieve RE100 through a 100% renewable energy ratio by 2050. For Scope 3 GHG emissions from our business activities’ supply chain, we have set targets to reduce emissions by 35% by fiscal 2030, 45% by fiscal 2035 and 55% by fiscal 2040 from fiscal 2019.」
We revised the Environmental Vision from 2030 to 2040, raising the 2030 Scope 1 and 2 reduction target from 46.2% to 55% and the renewable energy ratio target from 50% to 60%. We also expanded the Scope 3 target to a 35% reduction by 2030 and added interim targets for 2035 and 2040. - FY2025AdvancedAnnual report
「Consolidated CO2 emissions for fiscal 2023 (Scopes 1 and 2) were 353 thousand t-CO2, a 42.9% reduction from the base year. Scope 3 CO2 emissions were 1,522 thousand t-CO2, a 42.0% reduction from the base year. For fiscal 2024, we forecast Scopes 1 and 2 at 350 thousand t-CO2, a 43.4% reduction; Scope 3 at 1,570 thousand t-CO2, a 40.1% reduction; and the renewable energy ratio at 54%, as shown in the table below.」
We updated actual and projected reductions against the 2030 targets, setting reductions of 42.9% for Scopes 1 and 2 and 42.0% for Scope 3, and projecting a renewable energy ratio of 54% for fiscal 2024. - FY2024AdvancedAnnual report
「Consolidated CO2 emissions for fiscal 2022 (Scopes 1 and 2) were 383 thousand t-CO2, a 38.0% reduction from the base year. Scope 3 CO2 emissions were 2,333 thousand t-CO2, an 11.0% reduction from the base year. For fiscal 2023, we forecast Scopes 1 and 2 at 360 thousand t-CO2, a 42% reduction; Scope 3 at 2,180 thousand t-CO2, a 17% reduction; and the renewable energy ratio at 44%, as shown in the table below.」
We updated actual and projected reductions in Scopes 1 and 2, Scope 3 and the renewable energy ratio against the 2030 targets, and disclosed progress toward the reductions. - FY2023RaisedAnnual report
「For Scope 3, which represents CO2 emissions across the supply chain associated with our business activities, we have newly set a target of reducing emissions by 30% by 2030 and will strengthen our supply chain management initiatives. Consolidated CO2 emissions for fiscal 2021 (Scopes 1 and 2) were 535,741 t-CO2, a 13.4% reduction from the base year. Scope 3 CO2 emissions were 2,297,477 t-CO2, a 12.4% reduction from the base year.」
In addition to the existing Scope 1 and 2 targets, we established a new target of reducing Scope 3 emissions by 30% by 2030 and expanded the scope to include the supply chain. We also disclosed actual reductions in Scopes 1, 2 and 3 compared with the base year. - FY2022First statedAnnual report
「To achieve a decarbonized society, we aim to limit global warming to 1.5°C, reduce CO2 emissions by 46.2% by 2030 compared with fiscal 2019, and raise the renewable energy ratio to 50%. By 2050, we aim for net-zero CO2 emissions and a 100% renewable energy ratio. We have also newly set targets for achieving a circular economy and established “Action 11” to achieve these targets.」
As environmental targets updated in March 2022, we set a 46.2% reduction in CO2 emissions and a 50% renewable energy ratio for 2030, and net-zero CO2 emissions and a 100% renewable energy ratio for 2050.
