「At the end of the current consolidated fiscal year, we determined that the credit risk of loans to supported borrowers differed significantly from the credit risk historically associated with loans requiring management or other loans requiring special attention, due to changes in external factors affecting the borrowers' claims. Accordingly, from the current consolidated fiscal year, we have recognized expected losses over the next 3 years for loans to supported borrowers classified as requiring management at an amount equivalent to loans to borrowers requiring close monitoring, and for loans to supported borrowers classified as other borrowers requiring special attention at an amount equivalent to loans requiring management.」
For receivables from customers receiving management support, the calculation method was changed to one based on expected losses over the next 3 years, a longer period than before, increasing the provision for loan losses by ¥255 million.
