「Under E (Environment), we will work to track CO2 emissions from our factories in India and formulate reduction targets, steadily advancing decarbonization across the value chain.」
The status of the CO2 reduction target for factories in India progressed from “under development” to tracking emissions trends and working on target-setting. - FY2023RaisedAnnual report
「Metric Target CO2 emissions from factories in Japan (Scope 1+2) FY2030: 50% reduction (compared with 2019) CO2 emissions from factories in India (Scope 1+2) Under development CO2 emissions from the use of our products (Scope 3, Category 11) Under development」
While maintaining the target of a 50% reduction by FY2030 for factories in Japan, the scope of target-setting was expanded to include factories in India and Scope 3 emissions from the use phase of products. - FY2022First statedAnnual report
「We are pursuing decarbonization, initially setting a target of reducing CO2 emissions from factories in Japan by 50% by 2030, compared with 2019. Approximately 90% of our Group’s CO2 emissions from factories are generated by our factories in India. Going forward, we will consider CO2 reduction measures and set targets for our factories in India, advancing decarbonization across the Group.」
A numerical target was disclosed for the first time to reduce CO2 emissions from factories in Japan by 50% by 2030, compared with 2019. As factories in India account for approximately 90% of emissions from the Group’s factories, the Company indicated that it would also work on reduction measures and target-setting for its factories in India.
