Reason for the revision

The demand environment for alumina, chemical products and secondary alloys of ingot remains favorable. Sales of heavy-gauge plate for semiconductor manufacturing equipment have increased as demand recovers, and sheet products for lithium-ion batteries remain strong. Foil and powder products for heat-dissipation applications are also expected to remain strong. Although gains arising from higher aluminum ingot prices are expected to subside, the company expects the trend through the interim period to continue.

The reasons the company gives

The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.

The demand environment for alumina, chemical products and secondary alloys of ingot remains favorable. Sales of heavy-gauge plate for semiconductor manufacturing equipment are expected to increase as demand recovers, while sheet products for lithium-ion batteries and foil and powder products for heat-dissipation applications are also expected to remain strong.
